A renowned food and wine destination in the Yarra Valley, The Stables at Stones is a picturesque establishment nestled among rows of vineyards and manicured gardens off St Huberts Road. Housed between the red brick walls of a historic building dating back to the late 1800s, The Stables radiates old world charm, originally serving as the stable hand quarters of a farming community, now refurbished as a romantic country restaurant. Each week, The Stables presents a different menu featuring seasonal produce sourced from the Yarra Valley’s flourishing farmlands to be paired with wines as recommended by their sommelier. Perhaps find plates such as succulent Spanner crab, tomato, pickled melon and smoked brioche or Timbarra chicken with smoked beetroot, pickled cucumber and crackling.
